Lucknow: 21 migrant laborers died in a horrific road accident in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh in the early hours of Saturday. All the workers boarded a truck and trolley. Many workers are seriously injured in the tragic accident on the Delhi-Kanpur highway.

Auraiya’s DM Abhishek Singh said that the accident took place at around 3:30 in the morning. So far 21 people have died in this accident. At the same time, 15-20 people are injured. Most of these laborers were from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked for an immediate investigation report of the road accident. Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Information) Avnish Awasthi said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given immediate attention to the unfortunate incident in Auraiya. He expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the workers who lost their lives.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also directed that all the injured be immediately provided medical facility and asked the Commissioner and IG Kanpur to visit the spot and report the cause of the accident immediately.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it would be the responsibility of the district administration to provide all facilities to the migrant workers and workers. Negligence will not be tolerated in this. The Chief Minister directed all DMs, SPs, and SSPs to see that no migrant worker-workers should be able to travel on foot or by bike.

Earlier, there was an accident in UP and Bihar with laborers going on foot. Eight people lost their lives in this. The first accident took place on the Muzaffarnagar-Saharanpur State Highway in Uttar Pradesh at around one o’clock on Wednesday night. The workers returning from Punjab were crushed by a roadways bus.

Six workers have died and four were seriously injured in the accident. Two have died in a bus and truck collision on NH 28 near Shankar Chowk in Chandchar of Ujiarpur police station area of ​​Samastipur district of Bihar. The bus was going to Katihar with migrants from Muzaffarpur.

Apart from this, five laborers have died recently in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh due to truck overturning, while 11 laborers were injured in this accident. District Collector Deepak Saxena of Narsinghpur had told that 18 people were riding in a truck loaded with mangoes.

The truck overturned near Patha village in Narsinghpur and five people died. UP CM Yogi had announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the workers who lost their lives in this accident.
