Independent and impartial juries for selection at the National Awards include filmmakers and celebrities like AS Kanal, Utpal Borpujari. The Hindi film ‘Padman’ for best entertainment, the best director award for ‘Uri the Surgical Strike’ on social issues will be given.

Ayushman Khurana will be jointly awarded the National Award for Best Artist for ‘Andhadhun’ and Vicky Kaushal for ‘Uri The Surgical Strike’. In this series, Kirti Suresh will be honored for her performance in the Telugu film Mahanati.
