The Jamia Coordination Committee has released its statement regarding the incident. The committee has confirmed the incident, saying that two unidentified people have opened fire near gate number five. No harm is reported yet.
Several protesting organizations have written letters to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Election Commission, Ministry of Home Affairs and Human Rights Commission regarding the incident. Performances include Woman of Shaheen Bagh, Forum of Citizens for Equal Rights and Citizen for Justice and Peace.
