New Delhi: The BCCI may take a major decision on IPL soon. Wimbledon and the Olympic Games have already been eclipsed due to Corona. How can IPL be organized in such a big question? At present, lockdown is going on across the country and it seems certain to increase by 30th April.
IPL will be difficult
The conduct of IPL 13 almost seems to slip by hand. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly, has given a big statement regarding IPL. Sourav Ganguly said that it cannot be imagined in the current situation.
Speaking to an English newspaper, Sourav Ganguly said, “It is difficult to organize IPL in the circumstances that are present.” He said, ‘We are watching the situation. At this time we cannot say anything. Airports are closed, people are stuck in homes, offices are closed, no one can go anywhere and it looks like this will continue till mid-May.
What did Ganguly say?
Ganguly said that when everything is closed in the whole world, how will the players come and if the players do not come then how will it be possible to organize the tournament. Where will you get players, where will the players travel? This is a matter of very common sense, there is nothing in favor of sports in the whole world at any time, forget the IPL.
Sourav Ganguly said that the situation will be cleared only after a meeting with the officials on Monday. Ganguly said, what will be the future for the game when there is stagnation in the world. IPL will probably not be held in May also. Due to the absence of IPL, BCCI and all franchise teams will suffer heavy losses.
