Comedian Kunal Kamra Sent Legal Notice To Indigo Airlines, Demanding Compensation of Rs 25 Lakh

Kamara has sent a legal notice to IndiGo Airlines days after IndiGo banned comedian Kunal Kamra for six months for allegedly harassing journalist Arnab Goswami in a Mumbai-Lucknow flight. Kamra has sent a notice to the airline seeking removal of the six-month travel ban, an unconditional apology and a compensation of Rs 25 lakh.

Kamra sent the notice to the airline on Friday, in which Kamra’s lawyer told the airline that he would be subjected to “mental anguish and grief” by his client and to compensate him for the losses caused by the cancellation of his proposed programs in India and abroad. Pay damages of 25 lakh rupees. This action of the airline is completely illegal, arbitrary and against DGCA CAR (Regulations).

Let me tell you that IndiGo has imposed a six-month ban on comedian Kunal Kamra for indecency with TV journalist Arnab Goswami during the flight. Soon after, Air India also imposed an indefinite ban on Kamra. At the same time, SpiceJet and Go Air also banned Kunal Kamra until further orders.

The pilot flying the aircraft questioned Indigo as to why the airline banned the comedian without consulting him. The pilot has written a letter to Indigo asking why the company banned comedian Kunal Kamra without consulting him? He wrote in the letter that it is very sad to know that my airline company has taken a decision completely based on social media posts. The letter further noted that Kamra’s behavior was not in conformity with the standard level-1 set. The pilot could compare the case to other cases that were not previously given that much priority.

A letter was written by the pilot also revealed a statement from Indigo. IndiGo issued a statement saying that we have taken cognizance of the letter of the flight pilot of Kunal Kamra and Arnab Goswami. We have received related statements and the internal committee has started an investigation in relation to this incident.

Indigo airlines said in a tweet, “We want to inform about the latest incident in flight 6E 5317 from Mumbai to Lucknow. We prohibit Kunal Kamra from traveling via Indigo for six months because his behavior in the aircraft Was unacceptable.’

Indigo Airlines said, “As such, we would like to advise our passengers to avoid the personal spread of the aircraft as it could endanger the safety of passengers traveling together.”

Noted standup comedian Kunal Kamra shared a video on his Twitter on Tuesday in which he is questioning Arnab Goswami. Arnab Goswami, however, seems to be busy watching something on the laptop, completely ignoring Kunal Kamra. During this, Kunal is also seen using some abuses for Arnab Goswami.
