New Delhi: Congress general secretary and UP in-charge Priyanka Gandhi on Monday attacked the BJP government in the state. She has asked the public to share the data on testing, infection, and how to deal with it, questioning the government’s data about Covid-19.

She tweeted a video of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath saying that she heard this statement of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. According to the government figures, about 25 lakh people have returned to UP. 75% of those returned from Maharashtra, 50% of those returned from Delhi, and 25% of those returning from other states are infected with coronavirus, based on the Chief Minister’s statement.

Priyanka Gandhi said that if this is so why are there so few tests? Does the Chief Minister mean that over 10 lakh people in UP are infected with Coronavirus? But his government’s figures show the number of infections as 6228.

The Congress General Secretary has asked what is the basis of the figures of infection reported by him? Where did this percentage of returned migrants come from? Or are these figures uncertified and irresponsible like other figures of the Uttar Pradesh government?

She said that if there is truth in the Chief Minister’s statement, then the government should share testing, infection data, and other preparations with full transparency to the public and also tell what is the preparation to overcome the infection?
