This includes the highest number of 187 cases in Mumbai after 22 cases of Vasai-Virar (outskirts of Mumbai). ”In Maharashtra, 223 people have lost their lives due to the virus.

Other areas where new cases of infection were reported on Monday to include 16 in Kalyan and Dombivali, 21 in Thane, nine in Navi Mumbai and Pimpri-Chinchwad, six in Panvel, seven in Mira Bhayander, two in Raigad and two in Satara. Number of infected in Dharavi of Mumbai was 168

On Monday, 30 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai-based giant slum Dharavi, taking the total number of infected to 168. This information was given by the BMC officials. Dharavi is one of the worst-affected places in Mumbai badly hit by COVID-19, where 11 people have died due to infection so far.

The official of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that eight of the newly infected were women. He said that the newly infected are residents of Dhorwada, 60 Feet Road, Shastri Nagar, Minajuddin Khan Gala, PMGP Colony, Padmagopal Chawl, Matunga Labor Camp, Kalyanwadi, Kala Qila, Kunchi Kurve Nagar, Mukund Nagar, and Jhopar Patti. Meanwhile, Dadar in central Mumbai has also received three new cases of infection with the coronavirus, taking the total number of infected people in the area to 25.
