Coronavirus cases rise to 137 in the country, more than 5700 people under surveillance

Coronavirus Update: The number of coronavirus infected patients has reached 137 in India, while more than 5,700 people who come in contact with them have been kept under surveillance. The Union Health Ministry gave this information in a press conference on Tuesday (17 March). Along with this, the Ministry also informed that 13 patients have been released from Corona infection so far, while three have died.

On the other hand, the Union Health Ministry has recommended anti-HIV drugs lopinavir and ritonavir for the treatment of coronavirus infected patient. These medicines will be used case-by-case depending on the severity of the patient’s condition.

862 people died in the last 24 hours

The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that 862 people have died in the last 24 hours due to the deadly coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak worldwide, including 368 in Italy, 245 in Iran and 152 in Spain.

According to WHO’s report on coronavirus, the number of people who died of coronavirus has increased to 6606 and 13,903 new cases of this virus have been registered during the last 24 hours. Currently, 167,511 people are affected by the coronavirus worldwide, while in China 81,434 people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus so far and about 3218 people have died after being hit by the virus.

According to the WHO, during the last 24 hours, there have been 14 deaths due to coronavirus in China and 848 outside China. So far in China, 3218 people have died due to the virus, while 3388 people have died due to corona outside China so far. Apart from this, the virus has spread in 151 countries of the world and the situation remains very serious in other countries of the world including China.
