After three cases of coronavirus in the state, the Minister informed the Legislative Assembly of this effect under Rule 300 today. There are currently 1,999 people traveling to China and other countries affected by the Coronavirus in Kerala. Of these, 75 people have been kept in isolation in various hospitals.
Here, the Ministry of Health has confirmed that a student from Kerala, who returned from Wuhan, China, has been infected by the Coronavirus. According to officials, the student has been kept in the isolation ward of Kanhagarh District Hospital in Kasargod, Kerala. His condition is stable.
Health experts are closely monitoring his condition. This is the third case of corona infection in Kerala. Earlier, the infection was confirmed in two students who returned from Wuhan on 30 January and 2 February. Both are being treated in Thrissur and Alappuzha hospitals.
The Ministry of Health amended the travel advisory issued on Sunday, advising people to avoid traveling to China. He also said that travelers returning from neighboring countries can be kept in isolation to prevent the spread of infection in India.
The central government has set up a task force to monitor the situation arising out of the coronavirus and take precautionary measures. The task force has included representatives from the Ministry of Health, Home, Civil Aviation and Women, and Child Development. Union Minister Kishan Reddy gave this information on Monday.
Investigations of those returning from Singapore-Thailand also
After China and Hong Kong, the investigation of corona infection has also started in passengers arriving from Singapore and Thailand at Mumbai Airport. The state government has provided a team of 25 health officers to the Airport Authority of India to assist in the investigation.
