Coronavirus Outbreak: 8 new cases were reported in Kerala, now the number of Covid19 infected people is 61


Coronavirus Outbreak: An outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid19) is increasing in the country. Eight cases were confirmed on Tuesday in Kerala, eight each in Karnataka and Maharashtra. With this, the total number of infected people increased to 61. The Health Ministry said that the total number of confirmed cases is 50 while the rest is being re-examined for confirmation. If the new cases announced by the state governments are counted, this number will increase to 61.


In Karnataka, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said that a total of four persons have been confirmed to be infected with Coronavirus, of which three are new cases. In Pune, Maharashtra, three people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. A day ago two cases were registered there.

58 people were brought from Iran


A military transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) returned in the morning carrying 58 Indian nationals from Iran involved in the Corona virus-affected countries. Aircraft C-17 Globemaster was sent to Tehran on Monday evening from Hindon Airbase near Ghaziabad.

Air Force spokesman Group Captain Anupam Banerjee said that 25 men, 31 women, and two children were brought back from the aircraft. It has also brought samples of the saliva of 529 Indians for laboratory examination. The official said that Indian citizens who returned from Iran have been kept in a medical center in Hindon.

Total 14 cases in Kerala

With the confirmation of eight new cases of coronavirus (Covid19) in Kerala on Tuesday, the total number of people infected with this virus has increased to 14 in the state. Meanwhile, the state government has decided to impose several restrictions, including the closure of educational institutions and theaters, in an attempt to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told reporters after a special cabinet meeting on Tuesday that at least 1,116 people are under surveillance in 149 separate wards of various hospitals, while 967 have been kept separate at home.

Coronavirus has been confirmed in three more people in Maharashtra and these three persons came in contact with two people who had confirmed the infection a day earlier. In a statement issued from the state government’s health department, it said that with this, the number of cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra has increased to five. Samples of a Pune-based man and a woman, who recently returned from Dubai, were found positive on Monday.

Harsh Vardhan talked to patients

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan interacted with patients of Medina and Safronjung hospitalized patients of the Coronavirus through video call on Tuesday and said that the condition of the patients is stable. The Health Ministry issued a statement saying that the Union Minister interacted with the patients on Tuesday through a video call. Quoting the minister, it has been said that the condition of patients is stable and there are signs of recovery from them.
