Coronavirus patients rise in India, 271 people Covid-19 infected in the country so far


In India, the number of people infected with coronavirus has risen to 271 on Saturday after 35 new cases of coronavirus infection took place in different parts of the country. Of these 271 Covid-19 infected, 39 are foreign nationals. Of these foreign nationals, 17 are from Italy, three from the Philippines, two from the UK and one each from Canada, Indonesia, and Singapore.


The figures also include a total of four deaths recorded in Delhi, Karnataka, Punjab, and Maharashtra. “Currently, 258 people have been infected with Covid-19 in India,” the ministry said. In addition, 23 people recovered from illness or were discharged from the hospital or went out of the country and four died.

So far, 26 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Delhi, including foreign nationals. There are 24 cases in Uttar Pradesh, of which one is a foreign national. By Saturday, the number of cases in Maharashtra has grown to 63, and in Kerala, there have been 40 cases, including seven foreign nationals. Earlier the number of Coronavirus infected patients was 258 in India.

In Karnataka, there are 15 patients with coronavirus, 13 in Ladakh and four in Jammu and Kashmir. There have been 19 cases of infection in Telangana, of which 11 are foreigners. There have been 17 cases in Rajasthan out of which two are foreign nationals. So far, seven cases have been registered in Gujarat.

Three-three cases have been reported in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Uttarakhand respectively. Two cases have been reported in Orissa and Punjab and one each in Puducherry, Chhattisgarh, and Chandigarh. In Haryana, 17 have been infected with this deadly coronavirus, of which 14 are foreign nationals.
