New Delhi: In the G20 meeting on the Coronavirus crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that to develop effective vaccines to tackle the global epidemic, it is necessary to strengthen the WHO. PM Modi participated in this meeting through video conferencing. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval were also present during this period.

Combine the economic difficulties arising out of the epidemic- says PM Modi

In the G-20 video conference, PM Modi appealed to strengthen global organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) to deal with issues related to healthcare. He created new crisis management protocols and methodologies for a connected world. He said that they should work together to deal with the economic difficulties arising out of the coronavirus epidemic.

Social and economic aspects of the epidemic were also discussed in G20 meeting

At the same time, the Ministry of External Affairs said that PM Modi also kept the social and economic aspects of the epidemic. He said that 90 percent of cases of coronavirus and 88 percent of deaths have occurred in G20 countries, even they are 80 percent of the world’s GDP and 60 percent of the population. The ministry said that the leaders of the G20 have expressed their commitment to using all policy options available for global development, market stability and strength regarding the coronavirus.
