Coronavirus Update: Declaration of compensation of Rs 4 lakh for the family of the dead; Home Ministry decided


Coronavirus Update: In India, the scope of coronavirus is increasing and so far two people have died. Now in view of this, the central government has announced to give relief. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, on the death of people infected with the coronavirus, families will be given a compensation of Rs 4 lakh.


The number of people infected with the Coronavirus so far is 83. These include cases of death of one person each in Delhi and Karnataka. A 76-year-old man from Kalaburgi, who recently returned from Saudi Arabia, was died on Thursday, while a 68-year-old Delhi-based woman infected with the Covid-19 was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital on Friday night.

The Health Ministry said that the woman’s son came from abroad and was found infected with the coronavirus. The woman died due to diabetes and high blood pressure. So far seven cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Delhi and 11 cases in Uttar Pradesh. There are six patients of coronavirus in Karnataka, 14 in Maharashtra and three in Ladakh.


Apart from this, one case has been reported from Rajasthan, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Jammu Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, and Punjab. 19 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Kerala, out of which three patients were discharged after treatment last month.

Ministry officials said that 17 foreign nationals are involved in 83 confirmed cases. These include 16 tourists from Italy and one citizen of Canada. Significantly, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Covid-19 an epidemic.
