Coronavirus Update: Number of Covid-19 patients rise to 694 in the country, 16 died, 45 recovered


Coronavirus Update: The number of people infected with Covid-19 has increased to 694 in the country today. According to the Health Ministry, 16 of these people died and 45 patients were cured. Kerala has the highest number of people infected with the Coronavirus, there are 137 patients. There are 125 patients in Maharashtra, 55 in Karnataka, 44 in Telangana, 43 in Gujarat, 42 in Uttar Pradesh, 40 in Rajasthan, 36 in Delhi, 33 in Punjab, 32 in Haryana, 29 in Tamil Nadu, 20 in Madhya Pradesh and 10 in West Bengal.


The Health Ministry has said today on the basis of the data so far in the country that the rate of Coronavirus infection in India is comparatively stable. Ministry officials said that in India, the coronavirus infection is still in the second phase and no concrete evidence has emerged of its transition to the third phase related to community infection.

Central and state governments have stepped up preparations on a war-footing to prevent corona infection and relieve people from problems caused by lockdown (bandh). On the one hand, the Central Government has announced a package of Rs 1.7 lakh crore under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana to help the people of poor income group, while 17 states have selected only hospitals for treatment of corona.

The Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Lav Agarwal, told reporters about the situation caused by the coronavirus that the total number of infected patients in the country has increased to 649. He said that although there has been an increase in cases of infection, the rate of infection is currently stable with a comparatively slight decline.

Agarwal said that at present no concrete evidence has been found about the third state of community infection of this virus in the country. He assured that only after strict adherence to the current strategy of keeping distance (social distancing) from social gathering can people be told that India will not go into the third phase of transition. It is noteworthy that lockdown was implemented across the country from Wednesday to break the chain of coronavirus infection.
