Delhi Assembly Election 2020: Election Commission Sent Notice To Union Minister Anurag Thakur

Delhi Assembly Election 2020: The Election Commission has taken a tough decision against two big BJP campaigners who made inflammatory statements. Late on Tuesday, the Commission issued notice to Union Minister Anurag Thakur and gave time to file the reply till the afternoon of 30 January. Earlier, the Commission had sought a report from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi regarding the rhetoric of both the leaders.

In the same case, JNU alumni union president and leftist leader Kanhaiya Kumar have attacked the BJP. Kanhaiya tweeted, ‘According to him, Bapu was also a traitor to the country. He was shot too. Today, these people shamelessly invoke Godse Zindabad’s slogan. But Bapu is still alive in the heart of the people of the country. And they will beat again their inferior thinking of hate and violence.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi submitted the complete report, including information and a CD of rhetoric, to the Returning Officer on Tuesday afternoon. According to the office, a report was prepared on allegations of violation of the code of conduct on both the leaders, which was sent to the Election Commission on Tuesday itself. Till nine o’clock in the night, the Election Commission has issued a notice against Anurag Thakur. Sources say that the commission will also summon the reply giving notice to Pravesh Verma.

Sources even say that if the star’s announcers of the BJP do not get a satisfactory response, they can be banned in the Delhi Assembly elections. It is being told that both the cases are directly related to the violation of the code of conduct. However, at what level can strict action be taken against them? It can only be decided by the Election Commission. That is why the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Office has submitted the report to the Commission.

In fact, in the Delhi Assembly election 2020, there are frequently sharp statements from BJP leaders. Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur raised slogans from the dais to the traitors of the country during campaigning in support of BJP candidate Manish Chaudhary in the Rithala Assembly after BJP candidate Kapil Mishra from Model Town two days ago. In response to this, the crowd was shouting slogans, hit the shoes…. Apart from this, Election Commission has taken cognizance of the statement made by West Delhi MP Pravesh Verma in the media. MP Pravesh Verma has given an objectionable statement on Shaheen Bagh.
