Delhi Election 2020: Election Commission of India Will Declare Date For Forthcoming Delhi Polls (LIVE): The Election Commission of India has convened a press conference to announce the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections at the Election Building today. It will be announced today at 3.30 pm. The Election Commission told the media to reach the Election Building by 3.15 pm today where the dates of Delhi Election 2020 will be announced. Simultaneously, Delhi will also have a code of conduct.


Once the Code of Conduct is in place, every kind of government announcement will be stopped. Along with this, all kinds of promotional materials such as posters, banner hoardings, containing advertisements of parties will be removed.

Please tell that there are a total of 70 assembly seats in Delhi. Elections are to be held for all seats. The term of the 70-member Delhi Assembly will end on 22 February. According to the rules, a new assembly will have to be formed before the elections are over. Schedule of Delhi Election 2020 is given below:

  • Elections will be held on February 8
  • January 14 – Notification will be released
  • January 21 – Last date for filing nominations
  • January 22 – Scrutiny of nomination papers
  • February 8 – Elections will be held
  • February 11 – Results will come after counting of votes

There are a total of 1.46 crore voters in Delhi

In the 2015 elections, the Aam Aadmi Party won a historic victory by winning 67 out of 70 seats. A big challenge for the Aam Aadmi Party in these elections will be how many seats it will be able to save.

A total of 1.46 crore voters will participate in the Delhi Assembly elections. Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer Ranbir Singh said that in the final voter list published in Delhi, there are a total of 14692136. It has 80.55 lakh male voters and 66.35 female voters.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi is mainly seeking votes on the work done in its five years. He says that he has worked in every field of education, health, electricity, water, and the public will vote for him this time. The Aam Aadmi Party is confident that the way it has given 20000 liters of free water, free travel, good education, health facilities to the people of Delhi, the public will bring them back to power.

At the same time, BJP is seeking votes on the issue of raw colonies registry, PM Modi’s name, and CAA. The BJP believes that the claim of a registry of raw colonies can be beneficial for it.
