Jyotiraditya Scindia Joins BJP Today

Former Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia will join BJP today, likely to be Rajya Sabha candidate


Jyotiraditya Scindia: A day after leaving the Congress, Jyotiraditya Scindia will join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today (Wednesday). Former Union Minister will take BJP membership in the afternoon. He will join BJP in presence of BJP National President JP Nadda.


It is believed that BJP will make Jyotiraditya Scindia a Rajya Sabha candidate from BJP quota and later he can be made a minister at the Center. Scindia met former BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday.

After this, both of them met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence. After these meetings, Scindia sent his resignation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi. The date of the resignation was Monday 9 March.


There was a discussion in the political light of Madhya Pradesh since Tuesday morning that Jyotiraditya can announce something big on the 75th birthday of his father Madhav Rao Scindia. Scindia did something similar in the afternoon. Scindia, who was angry with Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh, was hurt by his neglect since the formation of the government.

‘Scindia expelled due to anti-party activities’

After Scindia’s resignation, the Congress had said that Scindia was expelled due to anti-party activities. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said in a statement, “Congress President Sonia Gandhi approved the expulsion of Scindia with immediate effect due to her anti-party activities.”

Till now 22 Congress MLAs have resigned

After Scindia’s resignation from the Congress, 22 Congress MLAs have so far resigned. At the same time, the Congress claims that the Kamal Nath government will complete its term. Chief Minister Kamal Nath said, ‘There is nothing to worry about, we will prove majority. Our government will complete its term.
