Amit Shah Address Meeting in Vaishali, Bihar: In support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday addressed a public meeting in Vaishali, Bihar. Addressing the gathering, Home Minister Amit Shah attacked the opposition fiercely. He said that the Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains who were in Pakistan and Bangladesh after independence, are not even three percent left.

The Home Minister said that Rahul Baba and Lalu Yadav should tell how they fell short. He said about the opposition opposing the CAA, that Congress-Mamta & Co. had organized riots in the country against the CAA. I have come to tell the Muslims of Bihar that no citizenship will be lost from the CAA.

Amit Shah said that the Congress party did wrong by dividing the country on the basis of religion. He said that Hindus were converted in Pakistan and Bangladesh, they were killed, so they were forced to come here.

The Home Minister said that temple-gurudwaras were demolished in Pakistan. That’s why people came here from thereafter being harassed. He said that Mahatma Gandhi had said on 26th September 1947 that every Hindu and Sikh living in Pakistan can come to India. It is the responsibility of independent India to give him jobs and shelter.

Accusing the Congress, Shah said that Gandhiji’s words were also repeated by Nehru, Rajendra Prasad, Kripalani Ji, and Maulana Azad. Congressmen do not believe in us, accept their leaders.

Shah said, will contest elections under Nitish’s leadership

During this, Amit Shah said- I want to dismiss all speculation and make it clear again that the elections in Bihar will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. BJP and JDU will fight elections together.

JDU with CAA, but NRC opposes

Currently, the NDA is in power in Bihar. While BJP leaders are in favor of NRC, JDU does not accept this. Chief Minister of the state Nitish Kumar has clearly stated that NRC will not be applicable in Bihar. On the issue of National Population Register (NPR), on Monday, Nitish said in the Legislative Council that this should be discussed in the House.
