The semifinalist teams were decided on Monday with Australia’s win over New Zealand, but which team would top the Group-B, it was to be decided against the match between South Africa and West Indies.
The match of these two teams was canceled before a single ball was thrown and thus both the teams got one point each. With this one point, the South African team reached the top in Group B with seven points. England has six points.
The Indian team won all their four matches in Group A and advanced to the semi-finals with a total of eight points. Australia has scored six points with three wins while South Africa has amassed seven points with three wins and one match. England has six points from four matches.
Let us know that in the last tournament in 2018, both the teams were face to face in the semi-finals. England defeated India in the semi-finals of the 2018 T20 World Cup but lost to Australia in the final.
