Kohli will be surpassing Dhoni for the most runs as captain in the third T20 match against New Zealand at Hamilton on Wednesday. Captain Virat Kohli is currently in the fourth position with 1032 runs, while Mahendra Singh Dhoni (1112 runs), Kane Williamson (1148 runs) and Faf du Plessis (1273 runs) are ahead of him.
Virat recently set the record for being the fastest Thousand in T20I as captain. He achieved this feat in just 30 innings, surpassing Faf du Plessis.
In addition, Kohli will become the most half-century captain in the T20 with another half-century. In this episode, he will surpass New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and South Africa’s Faf du Plessis. Currently, three captains are holding jointly the top position with eight half-centuries each.
