Indian captain Virat Kohli appeals to people to avoid coronavirus outbreak

Coronavirus Outbreak: Indian captain Virat Kohli gave a message to the countrymen to take all necessary precautions to avoid the coronavirus epidemic, which has killed more than 5000 people all over the world. In India too, Covid-19 has more than 80 positive cases and two people have lost their lives due to which all the sporting activities including the ODI series against South Africa and the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) have been suspended.

Kohli has tweeted saying that stay strong and take all precautionary measures and avoid Covid-19. Stay safe, stay alert and most importantly, it is better to avoid treatment. Everyone take care of yourself.

When Team India reached Lucknow Airport on Friday, the players were seen wearing masks. Captain Virat Kohli’s nearly full face was covered with a black mask. While the team’s wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul was also seen wearing a white mask on his face. Apart from this, police personnel running with them were also seen wearing masks.

Players from South Africa were also seen wearing masks. Along with the team, support staff was also seen wearing masks. The South Africa board has thanked the BCCI for canceling the series. Significantly, the first match of the ODI series was canceled due to rain. The toss could not be scored in this match.
