Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar donates 50 lakh rupees to fight against Coronavirus epidemic


Team India former batsman Sachin Tendulkar has helped Rs 50 lakh to fight against the coronavirus epidemic. Tendulkar, who has almost all the biggest records of world cricket in his name, made a donation of Rs 25 lakh to the Prime Minister Relief Fund and the same amount to the Chief Minister Relief Fund on Friday. Connected to many social organizations and charitable organizations, Tendulkar has wanted to help both the Center and the state government.

Apart from Sachin Tendulkar, the names of the Pathan brothers are prominent among the players who have come forward against this deadly epidemic. Irfan and Yousuf, two brothers have donated 4000 face masks to the police and health department, and former captain of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni contributed Rs 1 lakh through an NGO based in Pune to fight against the coronavirus epidemic.

Apart from the cricketers, wrestler Bajrang Punia and runner-up Hima Das are just some of the names who donate for the war against Covid-19. Badminton player PV Sindhu also assisted Rs 10 lakh on Thursday. The Olympic medalist has donated Rs 5 lakh each to the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments.


Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma have not announced any help to the nation so far, which has caused fans to question social media. “The cricketers are the richest players in our country, but so far no one has come forward in times of need,” a fan wrote in a tweet.

The whole country is battling the global coronavirus pandemic. According to Health Ministry sources, so far 20 people have died due to coronavirus infection in the country so far, about 724 have been infected with this dangerous virus.
