Police Complaints Against Dilip Ghosh: Two police complaints have been lodged against West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh. This complaint has been lodged for comments made against the protesters regarding their Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). One of these complaints has been lodged by TMC leader Krishnendu Banerjee in Nadia. Dilip Ghosh, while addressing a rally in Bengal’s Nadia district on January 12, said that people who were harming public property were shot like dogs in our UP, Assam, and Karnataka.

Attacking Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, she said that she had not ordered Lathicharge or firing against those who had damaged railway property and public transport during protests of the Citizenship Amendment Act in December last year.

Ghosh had said, ‘Is this his father’s property? How can they damage the property of the government which is made up of taxpayers’ money? The governments of Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Karnataka did the right thing by firing on such anti-national elements. ‘

He also called for identifying those who harm the interests of Bengali Hindus. The BJP leader claimed that there are 20 million Muslim infiltrators in India. He alleged, “There are one crore infiltrators in West Bengal alone and Mamata Banerjee is trying to save them.”

The Bengal BJP president had said during his address, ‘Didi’s (Mamata Banerjee) police did not take any action against those who damaged public property because she is their voter. Our governments of UP, Assam, and Karnataka killed such people by shooting them like dogs. He said about intruders that you come here, eat our food, live here and will also damage public property. Is this your landlord? We will shoot you with sticks, shoot and put you in jail.
