Vijay Mallya said in a tweet that congratulates the government for the Rs 20 lakh crore Covid-19 relief package and he can print as many currencies as he wants but I should accept the offer of a small collaborator like me, I will accept the offer of banks. 100% wants to return the money but why is it being ignored? Please take my money unconditionally and close it.

Significantly, last month, the British High Court rejected Mallya’s appeal. Mallya argued in the High Court that the trial court wrongly granted his extradition while a case of cheating and money laundering was registered against him under the conspiracy.

After the appeal was rejected by the High Court, Mallya also expressed disappointment over what was being said in the media about him. He had said that I am also disappointed with what is being said in the media, according to which I should face trial in India for fraud of Rs 9,000 crore. Please note that the charges against me and others relate only to three installments of loans totaling Rs 900 crore from IDBI Bank in 2009.

Mallya has been in the UK since March 2016 and has been on bail since April 2017 following his arrest on an extradition warrant.

What are the matter and Mallya’s argument

Mallya’s extradition case is stable after he and his company were cheated by IDBI. In 2009, Mallya took several crores of rupees from IDBI for Kingfisher Airlines. Mallya argues that he did not return the bank money due to loss in business and not with the intention of cheating.
