Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has donated five lakh rupees to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to fight the coronavirus epidemic. Mamata Banerjee has also contributed Rs 5 lakh to the West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund. The Chief Minister of West Bengal has announced this on Twitter.

In a tweet, Banerjee also mentioned that she did not take any salary as an MLA or a Chief Minister and has also abolished her MP pension. She said that his primary source of income comes from his creative discoveries, such as royalty which he derived from his music and books.

Mamata Banerjee tweeted, “Out of my limited resources, I will give five lakh rupees to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. Apart from this, I will also contribute Rs 5 lakh to the West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund to support our country’s efforts in fighting COVID-19.

The West Bengal Chief Minister wrote in another tweet, “I do not take any salary as an MLA or a Chief Minister and I have left my MP pension despite being a member of Parliament 7 times.” My primary source of income is from my creative activities, which are the royalty that I get from my music and books.”

Let us know that so far 1440 people have been infected with Coronavirus in the country and 32 people have died. 140 people are cured.
