Bill Gates said in his letter that we appreciate your leadership and the proactive steps of you and your government, which have reduced the COVID-19 infection rate in India.
He wrote that it is commendable for your government to take steps like adopting national lockdown, quarantining, increasing testing to identify hotspots for isolation, strengthening the response of the health system. Apart from this, strengthening the health system by increasing health expenditure, promoting R&D and digital innovation is also praiseworthy.
Bill Gates wrote, “I am happy that your government is making full use of its extraordinary digital capabilities to deal with COVID-19. He further wrote that it is a good move by your government to launch the Arogya Setu Digital App for Coronavirus tracking, contact tracing, and connecting people to health services.
The Microsoft founder wrote that I am grateful to see you balance the health imperatives with the need to ensure adequate social security for all Indians.
